In today’s environment, creating investment funds is profitable and popular. The largest and most successful direct investment deals in recent years include the sale of VillageMD for $15.8 billion, the purchase of Finnish delivery service Wolt for $8.1 billion, and the acquisition of beverage manufacturer BodyArmor for $8 billion. • The acquisition of Deutsche Wohnen in 2020: With the participation of Goldman Sachs, the Vovia group acquired Deutsche Wohnen. This merger and acquisition deal led to the creation of Europe’s largest residential real estate group.
• Financing of Celonis: In 2022, the German software start-up Celonis raised €2 billion in funding. The leading investor was the Qatar Investment Authority. This financing helped the company become the most valuable company in Germany.
